26 years ago an opportunity presented itself for me to get together with a couple of mates & enter the 1994 Outback Car Trek to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). The two mates where Chris Quinlan & Bruce Carter. That first adventure gave us the pleasure of seeing what it meant to the people of the outback & left such an impression on us that we have continued to raise funds for the RFDS. We have estimated that over the years we have raised over $250,000 in donations from CAR 3333.

Unfortunately, a few years ago we lost our dear mate Brucey, however he will never be forgotten & Quinnie & I with new crew member Bear, continue on in a way that we know Brucey would approve.

We had our first ever golf fund raising day at Leonay in 1994 and changed it’s name a few years ago to “Bruce Carter Memorial Golf Day”. This year will be our SILVER ANNIVERSARY 25th JUBILEE of running the golf day. We want this golf day to be our best ever.

On behalf of Quinnie & Bear, I look forward to seeing you all there.

Cheers John Graham (AKA “Capt’n Cockroach”)
